Lena believes that “walking the walk” keeps her and her team of tutors in touch and up-to-date with the constant changes in educational policies, curriculums and trends.

Lena is excited to have found some like-minded, talented, committed and experienced tutors to join the 10/10 Tutoring team. Each of the tutors have been hand-picked in accordance with the standards, philosophy and practice 10/10 Tutoring is known for and prides itself of.

The common philosophy at 10/10 Tutoring is to empower each student by developing their self-confidence and belief in their strengths and abilities; the building blocks of learning, achievement and ultimate success. A strong focus, therefore, is to teach students a variety of strategies, giving them the tools needed to access information and take responsibility for their own learning, both present and future.

Comprehensive and rigorous diagnostic assessment, being the key process in identifying strengths and weaknesses in individual student’s learning, is the starting point in developing and implementing a suitable program within the National Curriculum standards and expectations.

10/10 Tutoring implement a variety of effective, explicit teaching practices and strategies in order to match the individual student’s unique profile and needs. Considerations such as the individual’s preferred multiple intelligence, dominant learning style and their current interests and motivations make up the underlying approach to their programs.

Teaching resources used are current, cutting-edge, authentic and in context to the student’s experiences and world. Although, we do not use a “one size fits all”  or the “hooked on computer” approach in our tutoring sessions, we recognise the advantages and motivation technology offers our students in our fast-changing, digital world of accessing information and gaining real-life skills and knowledge.

The 10/10 Tutoring Team encourage and value working in partnership with parents, class teachers, specialist teachers and therapists as they work towards maximising positive learning outcomes for their students.

So, come join our team. Climb on board and be empowered as you unlock true potential in ensuring positive learning outcomes with 10/10 Tutoring.  “Results speak for themselves.”
